We have been serving Austin and the surrounding areas since 2022. We are open to traveling outside of the area on a case-by-case basis, and we even offer monitoring of phone calls and video visits. Owned and operated by a native Texan with more than twenty years of social work experience, Angels Monitoring Austin prides itself on selective staffing, high-quality training, and judgment-free, individualized services for your family.

Professional Visitation Services

Helping Families with Safe, Supportive Visitation Services

Our distinctive approach ensures a safe and enjoyable experience for your family members. We do this by literally meeting you where you are: just name a place in our area of operation, and our monitor will meet you there. We specialize in visits at fun and educational locations in Austin, and where appropriate, we also come to the most natural place of all, home. If a facility is required, we now have a freestanding location in the Westlake area.

Professional Standards

At Angels Monitoring, we hold ourselves to the highest standards to ensure the well-being of the families we serve.

In Texas, anyone who has a reasonable belief that a child is being abused, neglected, or exploited must report it to the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS). This also protects adults who are 65 or older or those with disabilities. As mandated reporters, our monitors are trained to recognize the signs of abuse and neglect.

Every monitor is CPR certified, which includes first aid and training on the use of AEDs (automated external defibrillators).

Most of our monitors have a bachelor’s degree, and many hold a master’s degree in relevant skills. At minimum, the training requirements for Angels Monitoring employees are among the strictest in the nation. All monitors undergo 24 hours of instruction with a qualified trainer. During this time, they are taught the intricacies of neutral party observation, as well as clear and effective documentation. They review previous cases and examine alternatives and best practices. They are also given opportunities to go on real-world visits to learn their craft.

Every monitor is required to complete a Trauma-Informed Care Training through the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. Trauma-informed care (TIC) is a model that aims to improve the well-being of people who have experienced trauma by understanding a client’s life experiences, creating a healing environment, and being responsive to cultural differences and biases.
