Our Patient Sitting Process
We focus on companionship, comfort, and communication.
While family presence is ideal in medical settings, it’s not always possible. Our companions help ensure patient comfort by providing basic services like access to entertainment, adjusting room temperature, fetching items, and assisting with communication between medical staff and family. They also alert medical staff as needed and provide support like fluffing pillows or adjusting blankets. Each shift includes a detailed report so family members or caregivers can review the care provided, ensuring peace of mind and clarity during the patient’s stay.
Professional Standards
We are mandated reporters, and when we observe problematic safety concerns for children during the course of visitation, we will contact DFPS to report the concern.
All monitors are required to maintain updated CPR certification.
All monitors are required to undergo an initial 24 hours worth of training (online and in person, shadowing, report writing training). Additionally, all of our monitors will receive yearly training updates to touch again on critical matters of procedure and ethics, updated standards, and safety optimization.
